Air Cairo to Begin Operating Weekly Flights Between Prague and Marsa Alam
Air Cairo will begin operating two flights per week between Egypt’s Red Sea resort of Marsa Alam and Prague.
For the Egyptian carrier Air Cairo, Marsa Alam will become the second destination to which it will fly on regular flights from the Czech Republic. It currently offers direct flights from Prague to Hurghada (HRG).
Flight schedule
The new route from Prague to Marsa Alam will start on Tuesday 28 March 2023. The carrier plans to operate two flights per week, with the route scheduled to operate every Friday and Tuesday. In addition, the route will operate year-round!
Prague – Marsa Alam -> 09:45 – 14:20
Marsa Alam – Prague -> 04:00 – 08:45
Ticket prices
Tickets are already available in the carrier’s reservation system. The cheapest tickets can be purchased for 9 083 CZK. The price includes the option to carry 1 luggage with a weight limit of 23 kg. There is also hand luggage option with a maximum weight of 7 kg. Change of ticket is possible for a fee of 35 USD + surcharge up to the current price of the new ticket, cancellation is subject to a fee of 65 USD.

Marsa Alam also has some inland attractions to visit, such as the emerald mines, popularly known as the Cleopatra mines, although the relationship between these mines and the famous and fascinating queen, who, as reported by historical sources, seemed to particularly appreciate emeralds, is not proven.
