PM Babiš to propose Turek to president to head Environment Ministry

President Petr Pavel has already previously indicated that he refuses to appoint Turek. Babiš and Pavel are likely to discuss the situation on Wednesday, January 7, when the president’s New Year’s lunch with the prime minister is scheduled.

Coming nights to reach 16 degrees Celsius below zero

The coming nights in Czechia will be very frosty. Minimum temperatures may locally drop to 12 to 16 degrees Celsius below zero. Meteorologists issued a warning about severe frost today, which is valid from Monday morning until Thursday morning for most of the country. In eastern Moravia, more cloud cover is expected, so apart from Monday morning it will be somewhat warmer there. The warning also does not apply to most of the Central Bohemian Region and Prague.
