Prague Museum Night Returns With 60 Museums and Free Entry

Prague Morning

Prague Museum Night returns for its 19th edition, offering free or discounted admission at more than 60 venues across the city.

One of the biggest additions in 2026 is the participation of the National Gallery Prague. As part of the event, visitors will be able to access several of its major sites, including the Schwarzenberg Palace, Šternberk Palace, Salm Palace and the Convent of St. Agnes.

Other newcomers include Rothmayer Villa and Signal Space, a digital art venue located in Prague’s historic center. Signal Space will present its immersive exhibition Echoes of Tomorrow, alongside an interactive children’s zone and a selection of video mapping projects previously featured at the Signal Festival.

The heart of this year’s event will once again be the recently renovated Main Building of the Museum of Prague in Florenc. The neo-Renaissance landmark reopened to the public six months ago after a five-year restoration project and will serve as the main meeting point throughout the evening.

Outdoor activities will begin at 4 p.m., while the museum building itself opens at 6 p.m. Visitors will be able to explore the museum’s permanent exhibition City in Time, visit the Tělák exhibition and take part in creative workshops designed for children and families.

A free cultural program will also take place outside the museum. Performances are scheduled throughout the evening, including concerts by Slovak singer Timea, Czech band Pexeso and indie-pop group Lake Malawi. At 10 p.m., the museum’s facade will become the backdrop for a video mapping show inspired by items from the institution’s collections.

Food and drink stands, seating areas and outdoor activities will remain available throughout the evening, creating a festival atmosphere around Florenc.

Adding to the visual spectacle, visitors will once again be greeted by Lunalón, a ten-meter illuminated model of the Moon on loan from the Brno Observatory and Planetarium. A smaller version will be displayed at Mariánské Square, where organizers will also operate an information point for visitors.

To help visitors move between venues, Prague Public Transit, together with regional transport coordinator ROPID, will increase transportation services during the evening. Shared bicycle operator Rekola will also offer discounted rides through a special promotional code available during the event.

Detailed information about participating venues, admission policies, transportation and the full program is available on the official Prague Museum Night website.
