Back With Heart: Aleb Kitchen & Bar Reopens With New Brand 'Levantina'

Prague Morning

Reborn with a new design and garden, Aleb Kitchen & Bar returns on Friday, November 14, with a Grand Reopening Party featuring wines from HokusPokus and the official launch of its new brand, Levantina.

Levantina brings Aleb’s most beloved flavors beyond the restaurant — a collection of signature dips made at home with honest ingredients and no added preservatives.

The line includes Hummus, Mama Ghanouj, Muhammara, Falafel Dip, and Minted Labneh — crafted with the same care and heart that define Aleb’s kitchen.

Guests can take Levantina dips to go or enjoy them at Lao Tea House near I. P. Pavlova, where Aleb’s Levantine spirit finds a new home in a cozy, tea-filled corner of the city.

The celebration begins at 6 PM on Londýnská Street, just steps from I. P. Pavlova. The festivities continue with Shawarma Lunch Saturdays, when Aleb opens from 12:00 to 22:00, serving its signature Levantine dishes — a vibrant mix of flavors from Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria. The team invites everyone to “join the big table” and share a meal in their relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

Starting this season, Aleb will also host Thursday wine tastings, offering a rotating selection of natural wines from Bohemia, Moravia, and beyond — a nod to the founders’ passion for pairing Levantine food with local wines.

Founded by filmmaker Farah Abou Kharroub, Aleb has quietly become one of Prague’s most heartfelt dining spaces. The name means “heart” in Arabic — a feeling that runs through everything: the art-filled walls, the family photographs, the open conversations with guests, and of course, the food.

“Aleb is a cultural space where we serve dishes inspired by my grandmothers, with a modern touch,” says Farah to Prague Morning. “Guests often tell us they feel like they’re visiting our living room.”

Rooted in local and seasonal ingredients, many sourced from nearby Czech farms, Aleb’s menu balances authenticity with creativity — from the orange salad scented with orange blossom water to the Levantine lamb, shawarma meatballs, and signature dips that embody both heritage and freshness.
