Run Through Hidden Corners of Prague: Archirun Opens Registration

Prague Morning

This summer, runners, walkers, and architecture fans can once again discover Prague from a new perspective.

The Centre for Architecture and Metropolitan Planning (CAMP) has announced the third edition of Archirun, a unique 8-kilometre route through some of the city’s most fascinating but rarely accessible locations.

This year’s race, taking place on August 23, will guide participants through the gardens of the Emmaus Monastery, the Vyšehrad Casemates, the Prague Congress Centre, and the Česká televize headquarters at Kavčí Hory.

The route also includes a stop at Veslařský ostrov, offering a close-up view of the ongoing construction of the Dvorecký most, set to open in 2026.

Unlike traditional races, Archirun is not a timed event. It’s designed for everyone – whether you’re a casual jogger, an architecture lover, or a family with kids.

Children under 15 can join for free, and the course is accessible even for less experienced runners.

Organizers highlight that this year’s edition focuses on hidden and underground spots.

Runners will experience the cool corridors of the Vyšehrad Casemates, explore historical sites, and get a rare look inside iconic buildings, including the television complex at Kavčí Hory, known for its striking 20th-century architecture.

The race will both start and finish at CAMP, located near Karlovo náměstí. An all-day accompanying programme will offer creative workshops, a children’s area, guided tours, and free access to the Prague Tomorrow? Connected City exhibition.

For those interested, free running training sessions led by adidas Runners are already underway every other Thursday at CAMP.

Registration is now open at www.praha.camp/archirun. The entry fee is 850 CZK, which includes a T-shirt, finisher’s medal, and refreshments at the finish line.
