Same-Day Parcels Now Available Through Bolt in Prague
Prague Morning
Bolt is now entering the courier market in Prague with its new service, Bolt Send.
The platform allows both private and business users to send small parcels, forgotten items, or gifts on the same day, often within minutes, all through the Bolt app.
Bolt Send simplifies the delivery process. Unlike traditional courier services, it does not require users to calculate postage based on weight, size, or shape, eliminating complicated forms, phone calls to dispatch centers, or spreadsheets. Pricing is straightforward and comparable to the standard Bolt ride.
Users can track their shipment in real time within the app, ensuring transparency at every step. Sending a package is simple: once an order is placed, the sender hands it to the Bolt driver, who delivers it directly to the recipient.
Thanks to a broad network of partner drivers, Bolt Send promises faster delivery than conventional couriers.
“Customers can now send and receive parcels quickly within the same app they already use for rides. This saves time and reduces short car trips,” said Josef Rückl, CEO of Bolt Czech Republic. “Bolt Send is part of our effort to make cities more sustainable and reduce unnecessary car use, contributing to cleaner urban environments.”
The service is designed for smaller parcels with a maximum weight of 15 kg. Items must fit in a vehicle’s trunk, front passenger seat, or back seat, with maximum dimensions of 65 × 55 × 40 cm.
Prohibited items include food, alcohol, weapons, medicines, or unsafe packages. All shipments must be clean, safe, and properly packaged.
Bolt Send is also positioned for corporate use. Companies can quickly send documents, contracts, or products to partners, offices, or clients. Integration with Bolt Business, the platform’s B2B solution, reduces administrative work while offering faster, more efficient delivery.
“Bolt Send is ideal for individuals and companies that need the fastest delivery solution,” Rückl added. “It also provides additional income for drivers, allowing them to utilize downtime between rides by delivering parcels.”
Bolt, a European technology platform, serves over 200 million customers across 50 countries and 850 cities.
