Central Point International School Marks 20 Years in Prague
Prague Morning
Central Point International School is celebrating two decades of education in Prague.
Established in 2004, the school in Prague 3 has become a popular choice for local and international families, offering an English-language curriculum and a focus on both academic progress and student well-being.
To mark the milestone, the school has brought its Panda Preschool fully under the Central Point name, uniting its youngest and primary students under one identity.
Families arriving each morning are now greeted by a large, freshly painted panda mural on the school’s exterior wall, created by a former student as a symbol of growth and community. A smaller mural at the end of the wall was recently completed by students and parents to celebrate 20 years of shared school spirit and togetherness.
Over the past 20 years, Central Point has expanded steadily while maintaining a relatively small and personal environment. Teachers highlight the school’s emphasis on individual care, saying that students’ strengths and challenges are addressed in close cooperation with families. “Within every struggling student lies a future success story,” the school noted in its anniversary statement.

Recent changes include the addition of three new rooms, a remodel of existing spaces, and a refreshed school logo and website, along with the school’s first official presence on social media.
Central Point is committed to respecting students’ rights to privacy by sharing the exciting things their students experience at school through creative photos and angles that do not show faces. This commitment to safety and student well-being strongly reflects the school’s core values.

These changes, along with a recent Cognia accreditation, demonstrate the school’s commitment to continual improvement and are part of the preparations for a planned middle school, which will allow students to continue their education at Central Point beyond the primary level.
Central Point follows the National Curriculum of England, enhanced with a Czech curriculum that meets the requirements set by the Czech Ministry of Education. This allows graduates to continue their studies at Czech schools, bilingual programs, or international schools across Prague.
According to the school, this flexibility is especially important for many families who may not know in advance whether they will remain in the Czech Republic long-term.

As the academic year gets underway, Central Point is preparing a series of Open Days for prospective families. School representatives say that enrollment for this year is nearly full but encourage parents interested in English-language education to visit and learn more about the programs on offer.
