Czechia to Invest 100 Million Euros for Renovation of Ukrainian Hospitals

The Czech Republic plans to invest 100 million euros in the renovation of 13 medical institutions in 7 regions of Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program, Minister of Health Viktor Liashko said.

โ€œThese are not just projects โ€“ real changes for patients. We are grateful to the Czech Republic for its willingness to support and help Ukraine on this important path,โ€ the minister noted.

Medical facilities in the country have also been affected by the ongoing war and targeted by Russian forces. Last week, the Ukrainian army reported that Russia had hit a military hospital in Kharkiv.

The European Commission transferred 3.5 billion euros to Ukraine under the Ukraine Facility program yesterday (April 2nd).

In addition, the European Union plans to continue financial support to the country at the expense of proceeds from frozen Russian assets.

The hospitals receiving support include:

  • Lviv Regional Hospital for War Veterans and Repressed Persons named after Yuriy Lypa โ€“ โ‚ฌ35.27 million
  • Rivne Regional Hospital for War Veterans โ€“ โ‚ฌ18.9 million

  • Volyn Regional Clinical Hospital โ€“ โ‚ฌ4.31 million

  • Kryvyi Rih City Hospital No. 5 โ€“ โ‚ฌ16.57 million

  • Dnipro City Clinical Hospital No. 16 โ€“ โ‚ฌ14.93 million

  • Kyiv Regional Childrenโ€™s Hospital โ€“ โ‚ฌ10.27 million
