Easter Guide: Where to Enjoy Seasonal Menus in Prague

Prague Morning

Easter in Czech cuisine has always been—and still is—a time for celebrating with special dishes and age-old traditions.

If you’re in Prague this year, you can enjoy these festive flavors at some of the city’s top restaurants, each offering seasonal Easter menus and spring-inspired dishes.

Easter at U Matěje Kotrby

Since 2006, U Matěje Kotrby has built a strong reputation for quality ingredients and solid service. This Easter, the restaurant presents traditional Czech dishes with a modern touch. Chef Marek Šáda’s seasonal menu focuses on spring classics. It starts with rabbit terrine served with cabbage and herbs, followed by a creamy wild garlic soup with a slow-cooked egg.

The main highlight is lamb confit with stuffing, spinach, and mustard jus, alongside a lighter option of salmon trout with kohlrabi and horseradish buttermilk. For dessert, guests can enjoy freshly baked mazanec, a traditional Easter sweet bread. The space combines old Prague charm with a more modern feel, offering a calm setting for those looking to experience authentic Easter traditions.

Easter at Restaurant U Pinkasů

Restaurant U Pinkasů offers a special Easter menu from Maundy Thursday, April 1, 2026, until Easter Monday. Highlights include homemade Easter stuffing, spring pea soup with roasted bacon and bread croutons, and old-fashioned roast pork leg stuffed with carrots, served with spinach and potato pancakes.

Guests ordering the full menu also receive 0.04 l of pear brandy and a pear cake for free.

Spring Brunch at Restaurace Sezona

To celebrate spring and Easter, Restaurace Sezona hosts a festive brunch on March 29 from 11:00 to 15:00. The brunch begins with a rich selection of appetizers, followed by main courses featuring spring ingredients: juicy baby chicken with chives, lamb shank with rosemary and garlic, or rabbit loin with mushrooms and balsamic reduction. Side dishes include creamy potato purée, grilled and poached vegetables, baked potatoes, or fried rice.

Desserts range from fresh fruit tartlets and Indian cake with passion fruit to gingerbread slices with pollen. A chocolate fountain with fresh fruit adds a playful touch for all ages.

Tasting Menu at Triton Restaurant

For a unique experience, Triton Restaurant presents a special tasting menu inspired by Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy. Each of the nine courses—Purgatory, Fornication, Gluttony, Greed & Extravagance, Anger, Heresy, Violence, Fraud, and Betrayal—is revealed only at the moment of service using illustrated cards, making each dish a surprise journey.

Spring Flavors at Malostranská Beseda

Malostranská Beseda invites guests to enjoy its April specials, including grilled chicken liver with crème fraîche, roasted garlic, basil pesto, and a toasted baguette. Starters include spring poultry broth with liver dumplings and fresh lovage.

Main courses feature grilled rabbit loin wrapped in bacon with potato wedges and creamed spinach, roasted baby chicken with almond stuffing and butter sauce, or a light spring vegetable salad with tuna, red-chard leaves, fresh nettles, radishes, boiled egg, and mustard vinaigrette.
