Legendary guitarist Eric Clapton announced today a series of European concerts for 2026, which will take place in Poland, the Czech Republic, and Hungary.

In addition, Bushbranch/Surfdog Records announced that it will release a remastered special edition of Clapton’s cult 1989 album Journeyman, which will include four new bonus tracks from the original recording sessions.

Journeyman: Deluxe Edition breathes new life into the classic album and includes three previously unreleased tracks from the original recording sessions and another bonus track.

It features timeless hits such as “Pretending,” “Bad Love,” and “Running on Faith” with guest artists such as George Harrison, Phil Collins, Chaka Khan, Daryl Hall, Robert Cray, and others.

Clapton himself says, “Journeyman… That’s how I want to be known; I like to think of myself as a craftsman. I think I’m constantly working to improve my craft.”

Clapton’s contribution to the worldwide popularity of blues and rock is indisputable. Since 1963, he has played in many bands, most notably The Yardbirds, John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, and the great Cream, who wrote rock, blues, and rhythm and blues history in gold.

As a solo artist, Eric Clapton has released 22 studio albums, the latest of which was released last year under the title Meanwhile. In addition to six new songs, the album contains eight songs that he has released since 2020, including those featuring Van Morrison and Jeff Beck.

Eric Clapton has played in Prague three times, the first time in July 2006.

He always played his greatest hits, namely Layla, Cocaine, and Crossroads, and at his last concert in 2022, he also played what is probably his most famous song, Tears in Heaven, which he composed after the tragic death of his four-year-old son Conor in collaboration with lyricist Will Jennings.
