Eurowings will make sweeping changes to its operations in Prague this winter.

The German low-cost airline, part of the Lufthansa Group, is reducing its number of regular routes from fifteen to just nine, while introducing two new destinations and, for the first time, charter services for Czech travel agencies.

During the summer season, three Airbus A320s are stationed in Prague, while in the winter this drops to two. The new schedule for winter 2025/26, beginning at the end of October, reflects both a tightening of operations and a diversification into charter services.

Compared to the summer schedule, several regular destinations will disappear. Eurowings is suspending flights from Prague to Athens, Heraklion, Cologne, Nice, Valencia, and Mallorca. Plans for Rome and Barcelona have also been scrapped, at least until March 2026.

Earlier this year, the airline had announced an ambitious expansion to the Canary Islands, with services planned to Lanzarote, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, and Fuerteventura. That program has since been scaled back, with only Tenerife remaining for the upcoming winter. The other routes have been pushed to late March 2026.

Despite the cuts, Eurowings is opening two new destinations from Prague: Beirut and Marrakech. Both routes are scheduled to launch in November 2025.

• Alicante (ALC): 2x weekly, suspended 17.11–19.12 and 5.1–13.2
• Beirut (BEY): 1x weekly, suspended 2.1–30.1 (new)
• Düsseldorf (DUS): 6–7x weekly
• Madeira (FNC): 1x weekly, suspended 22.11–20.12 and 3.1–7.2
• Málaga (AGP): 1–2x weekly, suspended 6.1–1.2
• Marrakech (RAK): 2x weekly, suspended 3.1–14.2 (new)
• Stockholm (ARN): 2x weekly, suspended 9.1–9.2
• Tenerife (TFS): 1x weekly, suspended 7.1–11.2
• Geneva (GVA): 2–4x weekly, suspended 4.1–6.2

New Charter Flights

For the first time, Eurowings will provide charter services from Prague during the winter season. Previously, the carrier had only flown such services in summer, including routes to Larnaca and Faro. Now, in cooperation with Czech travel agencies, three winter charter destinations will be added:

• Fuerteventura (FUE): every Sunday from 14.12
• Hurghada (HRG): every Saturday from 1.11
• Marsa Alam (RMF): every Tuesday from 4.11
