Milano-Cortina: Eva Adamczyková Wins Olympic Silver in Snowboard Cross!
Prague Morning
Czech snowboarder Eva Adamczyková secured silver in snowboard cross at the Olympic competition in Livigno, finishing just four hundredths of a second behind Australia’s Josie Baff in the final.
Another Czech rider, Karolína Hrůšová, made her Olympic debut but exited in the round of 16.
The result completes Adamczyková’s Olympic medal collection. She won gold at the 2014 Winter Olympics Sochi and bronze four years later at the 2018 Winter Olympics Pyeongchang.
She missed the 2022 Winter Olympics Beijing because of broken ankles. Now 32, she returned this season after maternity leave and entered the Games without publicly setting medal targets.
Her calm approach appeared to help. Despite a limited competitive build-up, she delivered one of the tightest finals of the event. The margin separating first and second place was minimal, yet enough to confirm another Olympic podium finish.
Hrůšová, 18, gained early Olympic experience despite her elimination. Coaches describe her participation as part of a longer development plan for future international seasons.
