Fresh-From-The-Farm: This Local Producer Delivers Products to Prague City Center
Farms rely on farmer’s markets and restaurant orders for much of their business. Supporting local farms during these turbulent times is critical to keep their small businesses alive.
COVID-19 has hit every industry in the state hard, and agriculture is no different. When the pandemic hit, Farma Terramorphosis, a farm in Mělník, found itself in jeopardy, like many other farmers in the country.
The owner of the farm has pivoted its business operations to stay afloat and has started delivering fresh vegetables and fruit to Prague city center.
This week you can order organic zucchini, tomatoes, Mexican cucumbers, hot peppers, beets, chard, blackberries, and fresh herbal mixes for tea and cooking, (and much more!)
“It’s like a farmers market to your doorstep,” says the website. “Available for delivery are bags of mixed vegetables as well as bags seasonal fruit.”
The boxes are available in three sizes:
- Small 350 CZK (1-2 persons)
- Medium 500 CZK (2-4 persons)
- Large 700 CZK (4 and more)
You can pick up your order on Friday from 12 noon at the following address: Metamorphosis Flower Shop
