Prague Morning

After ล koda Autoโ€™s BeRider and Polandโ€™s Blinkee introduced shared electric scooters in Prague, Italyโ€™s Anytime is bringing a new option to the city.

This week, Anytime launched 60 petrol-powered scooters for public use.

Anytime, previously known for offering Toyota-branded shared rides, has expanded its fleet with the low-cost Chinese-made Yuki 125i Via and Yuki 125i Matrix scooters.

Users can locate and start these scooters using a mobile app, with a basic rate of five crowns per minute. The Via model comes with two helmets, while the Matrix model includes one.

These scooters can be driven by anyone aged 16 and above with a valid license.

As soon as you start a rental in the app, the ignition is turned on and the starter can be used. When using the starter, the side stand must not be tilted. When starting, hold any brake and the engine will start.

When you want to put the scooter into parking mode or end the rental, the ignition will turn itself off.

โ€œOur users appreciate that they donโ€™t need to buy an expensive vehicle or worry about its upkeep. They avoid costs for fuel, insurance, servicing, and tyre replacement,โ€ said Milan Beutl, Anytimeโ€™s director.

Shared scooters are popular in major European cities like Berlin and Barcelona, where several operators offer electric scooters.

Electric models are favored for their environmental benefits and lower noise levels. However, petrol scooters offer advantages like higher speed, longer range, and easier refueling.

Yuki Via

Yuki Via is an urban scooter that has slightly more power than Matrix. In addition, it contains an LCD display, full LED lights and USB for charging your mobile phone.

Yuki Matrix

The Matrix has slightly wider tires, so it offers more stability, which may come in handy for novice riders. It also offers a bit more space if youโ€™re taller.

All scooters are also equipped with disposable helmet nets, so you donโ€™t have to worry about reduced hygiene if you share a helmet.
