Flying from Prague? New Survey Says the Airport Is One of Europe's Best

A new customer-experience survey by Airports Council International (ACI), based on feedback from more than 700,000 passengers across more than 100 airports, ranks Václav Havel Airport Prague among the best airports in Europe.
What passengers rated
- Friendliness and helpfulness of staff
- Cleanliness and comfort in terminals
- How easy it is to navigate the airport
- Organization of security and check-in areas
- How simple it is to get to and from the airport
In these categories, Prague ranked among the top three in its category (15–25 million passengers per year), along with Gran Canaria Airport (Spain) and Helsinki Airport (Finland).
Václav Havel Airport also ranked highly by Google users Separate research based on Google Maps reviews also placed Prague Airport among Europe’s most popular with travelers, ranking fourth best in Europe in 2024 and sixteenth best in 2025, with a 4.3 out of 5 rating from more than 20,000 user reviews.
The most praised aspects were:
- A wide selection of shops, cafés, and restaurants
- Rest areas, workspaces, and family zones
- Clean and comfortable terminals
- Easy transfers between terminals via a covered walkway
- Good connections to the city center
Other top-ranked airports
Among larger airports, the following were top-ranked in the ACI survey:
- Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas
- Rome Fiumicino
- Copenhagen Airport
- Vienna International Airport
- Zurich Airport
In the Google Maps research, the highest-rated airport was Istanbul Airport, followed by Francisco de Sá Carneiro Airport in Porto, while Heraklion International Airport and Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport received the lowest score among those evaluated.
