Prague-Bubny Station Opens Rooftop Deck for Visitors
Prague Morning
A new rooftop terrace at Prague-Bubny station has opened, offering city views to anyone passing through the area.
The Railway Administration opened an observation terrace this week, giving passengers and residents the chance to look out over the surrounding district.
The deck is accessible from Monday to Saturday between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Entry is from the first platform, where stairs lead directly to the roof.
From there, a modest terrace offers space for visitors to pause and take in the view.
Although the station has been in trial operation for a month, construction continues.
For that reason, a staff member from the Railway Administration is present to oversee safety on the terrace. “We have set up all the necessary conditions to ensure safe entry,” said spokesperson Nela Friebová.

The station’s design leaves open the possibility of future expansion.
The Prague-Bubny station is not just a new stop — it is part of a much larger modernization of the railway between Bubny and Výstaviště. The project, which included the construction of the new Výstaviště stop, cost more than 5.6 billion crowns.
This section of track is a key link in the planned rail connection from the city center to Václav Havel Airport.
The station itself serves trains running to Kralupy nad Vltavou, continuing further to Ústí nad Labem, and also toward Kladno.
Built on pillars, the structure leaves space underneath for future shops and commercial services. Access to the platforms is provided by both escalators and an elevator, making the station fully barrier-free.
