Prague Metro Announces Closures from July to November 2025
Prague Morning

Prague Public Transit Company (DPP) has released a detailed schedule of metro closures starting this July, with several key sections of Lines A and C affected through November 2025.
The closures are due to track replacements, system upgrades, and the continued reconstruction of the Florenc station ceiling, a long-standing infrastructure issue.
The most extensive disruption will occur on August 9–10, when 75% of Line C will be closed. The longest closure will affect the Háje–Muzeum stretch, lasting seven days in early August.
Here is the official timeline of closures published by Dopravní podnik Praha (DPP):
July 3–6: I. P. Pavlova – Nádraží Holešovice
August 2–8: Háje (via Chodov) – Muzeum
August 9–10: Háje (via Chodov) – Nádraží Holešovice
September 27–28: Želivského – Dejvická
November 15–17: Pražského povstání – Florenc
November 22–23: Pražského povstání – Nádraží Holešovice
The Prague Public Transit Company warns that all dates are subject to change due to technical or weather-related factors. Each shutdown will be announced in advance, with guidance on alternative routes.
Commuters should plan ahead and consider alternate travel options such as buses or trams, especially during August and November, when disruptions are most intense.
