After a one-year break, Prague Museum Night is set to return on Saturday, June 14, 2025, inviting residents and visitors to explore the city’s cultural life in a whole new light.
From 7:00 PM to midnight, nearly 60 museums, galleries, and cultural institutions across the capital will stay open late, offering free entry, exclusive tours, and interactive programs for all ages.
This event transforms the usual museum experience into a nocturnal journey through history, science, art, and architecture. The 2025 edition promises a range of unique exhibitions, guided tours, and hands-on workshops, making it one of the most anticipated evenings of the summer.
In Smíchov, the Lihovar complex will host David Černý’s Mausoleum, presenting a comprehensive look at the provocative artist’s life’s work.
Meanwhile, MeetFactory, the contemporary art space founded by Černý, will open artist studios and conduct guided tours of current exhibitions, showcasing both Czech and international creators.
For those interested in Prague’s historical layers, Vyšehrad Underground will offer special access to the fortress’s casemates and hidden chambers, rarely open to the public.
Astronomy lovers can visit the Štefánik Observatory, which will host the exhibition A Few Steps to the Stars. Weather permitting, guests will also be able to observe the night sky through large telescopes.
A Program for All Ages
Beyond exhibitions, the event features a wide-ranging accompanying program. Expect live music, lectures, creative workshops, and family-friendly activities throughout the evening.
A highlight for children is an interactive tour at the Clam-Gallas Palace, where young visitors can explore themes of aristocracy and animal breeding in a playful, educational format.
