Where to Eat and Drink Outside in Prague During Summer
Prague Morning
Whether it’s a quiet morning coffee under leafy trees, a long lunch with castle views, or a golden-hour beer with friends, outdoor seating is one of the best ways to enjoy Prague in warm weather.
Here are some of the best places in Prague to eat and drink outside this summer.
Kuchyň
Next to Prague Castle, Kuchyň offers traditional Czech dishes and a spacious outdoor terrace with a clear view of the city. The kitchen follows a “cook what’s fresh” approach — the menu changes daily and guests are invited to look directly into the kitchen to see what’s available.
The view stretches across the rooftops of Malá Strana and beyond. It’s a quiet spot even though it’s close to major tourist routes, and a good place for a relaxed lunch or early dinner. The menu includes roasted meats, seasonal sides, and homemade desserts.
U Pinkasů
U Pinkasů is one of the oldest beer restaurants in Prague. It opened in 1843 and was the first place in the city to serve Pilsner Urquell. Today, it’s known for its reliable Czech cooking and large courtyard garden, hidden behind the Church of Our Lady of the Snows.
The courtyard is shaded and quiet, surrounded by historic walls. The menu features traditional Czech meals such as goulash, beef sirloin with cream sauce, and pork knee. Service is quick, and the beer is well-kept. It’s a straightforward, unpretentious place with a long history and steady foot traffic from locals and visitors.

Café Čekárna
On a quiet street under the Vyšehrad fortifications, Café Čekárna is a calm place to sit with a coffee or glass of wine. The café has a small courtyard with outdoor tables, surrounded by greenery and with a view of the walls above.
Coffee comes from a local roastery, and there are also teas, fresh lemonade, and light food options. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff are friendly. It’s not a busy place — more suitable for reading, writing, or taking a break after walking through Vyšehrad park.

Letenské Sady Beer Garden
Located on the edge of Letná Park, Letenské Sady Beer Garden is a casual outdoor spot with long benches under the trees and a wide view over Prague’s Old Town. The food menu is minimal — grilled sausage, fried cheese — but it’s not the main reason people come.
The beer is served quickly, prices are low, and the view makes it one of the best places in Prague to meet with friends on a warm evening. It’s not polished or curated — just simple tables, cold beer, and a constant mix of people coming and going.

Střecha Radost
At the top of the Radost House building in Žižkov is Střecha Radost, a rooftop bar and café open during the summer. It offers a wide view over the city and has become a regular meeting point for people in the neighborhood.
There are occasional events — concerts, film screenings, and readings — but it’s also a place to come for a quiet drink. The menu includes beer, wine, cocktails, and small meals. Seating is casual, and the space stays open into the evening.

Luka Lu
Close to Újezd and the base of the Petřín funicular, Luka Lu is a restaurant serving Balkan and Mediterranean food. Its garden terrace is hidden behind the building, with bright chairs, climbing plants, and a few small fountains.
The menu includes seafood, pasta, and grilled meats, along with Croatian wines. Families are welcome, and the atmosphere stays calm even during busy times. It’s not far from the park, so many people stop here after a walk.

Vnitroblock
Vnitroblock is a café, concept store, and creative space in a former industrial building. Its outdoor courtyard has wooden tables, string lights, and room to spread out — a common place for informal work sessions, afternoon coffee, or weekend drinks.
You’ll find espresso, cocktails, burgers, and occasional events. It’s not a restaurant in the traditional sense, but it’s a reliable place to sit outside for a few hours and meet with others, especially for younger people or freelancers based in the area.
