Running Festival is Around the Corner! 7,000 Runners to Take Part in the UniCredit Prague Relay
The most fun summer run is here. The UniCredit Prague Relay, where friends and colleagues compete over four five-kilometer stretches, will take place on the 27th and 28th of June at the Prague Exhibition Centre.
“Up to seven thousand competitors could take part in both days. The Prague Relay is always a celebration of movement, life, and of course there is also a good dose of competition,” said Carlo Capalbo, president of the RunCzech organizing team, which also organizes the world-famous Prague ½ Marathon, Prague Marathon, and Grand Prix races in the capital.
“I am very pleased that we can build on last year and once again be a partner of the UniCredit Prague Relay and the seven thousand participants of this beautiful race,” said Tomáš Drábek, Head of Retail Banking at UniCredit Bank. The 6th edition of the running festival, which this year also includes a Music Festival, will start on 26 June at the Running Mall, where runners can pick up their bib and packet.
The races will start a day later at 17:00 with the popular dm Bambini Run, and at 18:00 the first members of the relay teams will set off for Stromovka and together with them the members of the bankers’ and diplomats’ teams will take to the track.
The next day, on the same dates, there will be more races for children (from 2 to 7 years of age for 100, 150 and 200 meters), followed by the second main race, which will involve the teams of medics and employees and members of the chambers of commerce. Registration is available at www.runczech.com
With the purchase of an entry fee, however, participants get much more than just a race. They can think of the event as team building, a bachelor party, or a school reunion after a few years. At the same time, it is possible to raise the profile of your project or company during the run.
Runners can also take advantage of the free training dedicated to the Prague Relay at the Running Mall. Before the race, registered runners will receive a picnic box with a blanket and a race T-shirt from Birell. And if they have any energy left, they can enjoy an evening of fun at the Music Festival after the race with a medal around their neck.
It is also possible to book a fully equipped tent at the finish corridor for 50 visitors, where the comfort of the entire team, VIP guests, and fans will be guaranteed by catering from Hilton Prague.
The UniCredit Prague Relay also has a charitable overlap. It is associated with Light for the World, an organization that focuses on curing blindness, improving the quality of life and advocacy for people with disabilities in the least developed parts of the world.
