Prague Morning

The company has recently announced that it has entered into a management agreement with CRESTYL Group to open a new Time Out Market in Prague.

Time Out Market will be located in the historic city centre inside the Savarin social and shopping center, a 15,000 square-meter project located just around the corner from Wenceslas Square.

Time Out Market Prague will accommodate around 465 seats indoors and 120 outdoors. There will be 14 food offerings, two bars, a speakeasy lounge, a cultural space and a retail shop โ€“ all representing the best food, drinks and culture the city has to offer.

Following the success of Time Out Market Lisbon, which was the first to open in 2014 and is now Portugalโ€™s most popular attraction with 4.1 million visitors in 2019, a further five Time Out Markets were opened in North America: in 2019 in Miami, New York, Boston, Chicago, and Montreal.

In 2021, they expanded in Dubai, while in 2024, a new location opened in Porto and Barcelona.

About Savarin

The Savarin project will be created by the reconstruction of buildings within a large area consisting of four consecutive parts. This will connect Wenceslas Square with Na Pล™รญkopฤ›, Jindล™iลกskรก and Panskรก streets, which delimit the area.

According to the developer, 55,000 square meters of shops, restaurants and offices should be built on an area of โ€‹โ€‹1.7 hectares.

An important part of the construction of the project will also be the extensive reconstruction of the interior of the historic premises, especially the original Baroque riding school, which will become the heart of the entire complex. Although it will not be the only commercial building, several underground floors will be created below it, which will connect the entire complex with the entrance to the metro.

New Mucha Museum

A new Mucha Museum opened in February in the renovated late-Baroque Sylva-Taroucca Palace, known as Savarin. The museum is displaying a number of works by Czech Art-Nouveau artist Alfons Mucha (1860-1939) as well as reproductions, including several paintings from his โ€˜Slavic Epicโ€™.

There are now two Mucha museums in Prague, not far from each other. The second has been located in the Kaunicky Palace on Panskรก street since 1998.

The exhibition space in Savarin was built on the first floor in place of a former casino.
