Cirkopolis 2022 Prague – 13-18 February
If you are looking for a special event to take your breath away, this year´s Cirkopolis Festival is here to do exactly that. For almost a week you will be able to enjoy plenty of magical and jaw-dropping performances from jugglers, to dancers, acrobats and other circus performers showing you their best tricks and moves.
Come and enjoy these magical shows happening in Akropolis Palace and Ponec Theatre and enjoy your weekend in full flair. There are plenty of performances to choose from, you definitely won´t be bored.
Farmers’ market at Heřmaňák – Saturday, February 12
Farmers’ market at Heřmaňák is definitely not regular farmers´ market. There is one thing that makes it special and different from others. What it is? Well, it is one of the first eco-friendly markets taking place in Prague. In this market, nobody uses plastic bags, containers and other packaging.
Instead, all the visitors are encouraged to bring their own reusable bags, glass jars, egg containers and wrappers to take the ingredients they have purchased home. You can expect to find here high quality and fresh goods like dairy, meats, eggs, fruits and vegetables as well as eggs, oil, honey herbs and other special products.
The Comedy Store – Friday, February 11
On Friday, February 11th, at the BRAVO theatre you can experience an amazing evening full of laughter and good light-hearted atmosphere. If you are a fan of stand-up comedy, you should definitely buy a ticket now.
A special lineup of stand-up comedians with unique sense of humour will be guiding you through this evening with their jokes and humorous anecdotes, with which they have won over many and many British people already. The line up will include comedians such as Josh Jones, Allyson June Smyth, Dane Baptiste, as well as Ondřej Havlík or En.dru which you may know from the stand-up show Na Stojáka.
Creative Workshop for Children – Sunday 13 February 2022, from 15:00 to 16:30
If you’re wondering what to do with the kids this weekend, we have a tip for you, the creative workshop in Villa Pellé. With the painter Claudia Hlavata, you and your kids will immerse in a world of experimentation using painting and collage techniques and you will try to create your own fantasy world full of unusual shapes, colours and creatures.
The creative workshop is designed for children aged 6 to 12 and is a wonderful way how to spend an afternoon with your children doing something fun and productive.
A special concert will take place this week at the Jazz Dock in Prague. Legendary guitarist and blues singer Rene Trossman from Chicago, USA will play some of his greatest hits with his band. Rene has lived in Prague for several years and has quickly established himself as one of the leading and most prominent personalities of the contemporary blues scene.
Romeo a Julie Ballet – Friday, 11 February – 19:00 and Sunday 13 February – 13:00, 18:00
This weekend, the National Ballet Theatre brings to the stage the most famous love story that has been admired in all art forms for centuries. Choreographed by John Cranko and enriched by the music of Sergei Prokofiev, the famous tragic love story will come to life. Come to the National Theatre and enjoy the pre-Valentine’s Day weekend with your loved ones.
Prague Burlesque Show: Supersonic Women – Friday, February 11
Supersonic Women is a burlesque performance by Sonny Vegas that combines glamour and decadence. The show introduces a world full of exotic dancers and singers, all performed by Sonny and four other stars of the evening: Miss Cool Cat, Lady Mousellyca, Coca Valente and Hayley the Strange. On Friday, you’ll experience the return of the 1920s vibe, with a pinch of titillation.
