United Islands Brings 100 Emerging Artists to Prague
Prague Morning
Prague’s festival season kicks off with United Islands, returning from Thursday, April 30 to Saturday, May 2 on Štvanice Island and across the city’s clubs.
Over three days, the festival will showcase more than 100 emerging artists from the Czech Republic and abroad, combining a rich outdoor programme with intimate club performances.
International headliners include British indie-rock trio Bilk, Irish electro-noise band Yard, and Dutch singer Min Taka. The Czech lineup features singer-songwriter Toyota Vangelis, rapper Anki, and indie band WYFE, among others.
This year, all outdoor shows will take place on Friday and Saturday on Štvanice Island, spread across five stages. Thursday will spotlight Prague’s club scene, from popular venues to smaller, offbeat locations. Entry remains free, with optional voluntary tickets available to support the festival.

For nearly 25 years, United Islands has been one of Central Europe’s leading showcase festivals, discovering new talent from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and across Europe. Many of this year’s acts will perform live in the country for the first time.
Highlights include Slovenian rock band LPS, Polish group Błoto, and German act Lifespark, alongside the previously mentioned international headliners.
Czech artists remain a strong presence. Toyota Vangelis will perform with Wierdsky, while rapper Anki, experimental trio Hihahaholky, artist Bariel AV with a live band, singer Naty Hrychová, indie band WYFE, and Propadleek—known for touring with Divokej Bill—will also appear.
The festival follows its traditional two-part format: Thursday focuses on club shows, while Friday and Saturday centre on outdoor performances on Štvanice, followed by evening club events.
Visitors can also enjoy a diverse accompanying programme, featuring around twenty non-profit organisations and other activities. A new addition this year is Islands Forum, a stage dedicated to discussions and non-music programming, created in collaboration with the project Žárovky.
Voluntary tickets, allowing visitors to support the festival, can be purchased via GoOut.
