Vinohrady has been named the #32 coolest neighborhood in the world in Time Outโs latest rankings.
The travel magazine and online publication creates its annual world rankings by polling 27,000 city dwellers worldwide on their favorite neighborhoods and having Time Out global editors and writers rank locations according to their community spirit, quality of food, drink and nightlife, culture and sustainability efforts.
Caroline McGinn, Global Editor-in-Chief of Time Out, said: โTime Outโs annual list of the Worldโs Coolest Neighbourhoods is a love letter to the city at its most joyful and surprising.
โIt celebrates the hyperlocal places where the cities of the future are being made up, on the spot.โ
David Creighton, Contributing journalist for Time Out said:
โVinohrady is a gridiron of grand nineteenth-century tenements, interspersed with lush green spaces, is just minutes from Wenceslas Square but feels a world away.โ
โThe area has taken on a cosmopolitan vibe of late, with international yopros, Erasmus students, and digital nomads all settling in. Several excellent independent shops and cafรฉs cram the buzzing community hub of Jiลรญho z Podฤbrad (JZP) square, which also hosts a popular farmersโ market that draws foodies from across the Czech capital (and is overlooked by the unusual Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord).โ
Vinohrady was selected for its bustling variety of food and drink establishments and venues, with Time Out identifying Marthyโs Kitchen, Mama Coffee, and Vinohradskรฝ Pivovar, for their contributions to the area.
