It has been 12 years since Curtis James Jackson III, better known as 50 Cent, visited the Czech capital. On October 18, the legend of rap will be making his triumphant return.
Who doesn’t know the album Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ or the hit Candy Shop? It’s impossible to overstate the importance of the Queens native on the development and history of rap.
The founder of G-Unit should return to the Czech Republic as part of the tour on October 18, performing at the 02 Arena. Tickets go on sale Tuesday.
50 Cent did not have an easy upbringing. He dealt with drugs in elementary school, along with crime, gangs, and even multiple gunshot
wounds (he has been shot nine times). But all that did was push him further towards his dreams. This is the third time that the 47-year-old rap legend will take the stage in Prague.
The Grammy winner, who sold more than 30 million copies of his 2002 album Get Rich Or Die Tryin’, will be in Europe twenty years after its release. It’s clear that the verses he laid down all those years ago still hold up. He last performed here in 2010 in Holešovice, previously in 2007.
He will be performing both hits from his past albums, as well as songs off his most recent solo album, “Gon’ Pay Me?” which released only a few days after the COVID-19 closed venues and prevented live performances. As such, this tour promises to have all the electricity of a multi-year build-up.
In case you missed it, together Eminem, Dr. Dre, and other rappers such as Snoop Dogg and Kendrick Lamar, 50 Cent performed at the Halftime Show at the Super Bowl last year, which garnered only positive reviews.
His third appearance in a row will take place on October 18, 2022, in the O2 arena, and according to the information on the official website, the price of tickets will be between CZK 1,990-2,390.
Pre-sale starts on Tuesday. Tickets for the concert will be available for purchase on the official sales networks Ticketmaster and Ticketportal as early as August 2, 2022, from 10:00 a.m.
