From May 1, 2018, Prague Airport will become completely non-smoking.
Smoking won’t be allowed even in the booth located at Terminal 2. This was announced on Monday by the representative of the airport, Marika Janoušková, spokeperson for the airport. The entrances to the terminals will equip a total of 14 sites for smoking.
The booth was built on customers’ request as a temporary solution and was able to fit up to thirty people.
Most major European airports have designated smoking areas both inside and outside. Terminal 1 at Václav Havel Airport used to have a smoking booth, too but it was shut down last Jul because people were not respecting the rules and were smoking outside of the designated area.
