Airline company PLAY is happy to announce its operations between Reykjavik and Prague starting in May 2022.
PLAY will be operating two flights weekly between these destinations from May 5, 2022.
PLAY is a new low-cost airline operating flights between Iceland and Europe. The Icelandic airline is based in Reykjavik’s Keflavík International Airport and started operations in June 2021. PLAY operates three new Airbus A320 neo aircraft.
“The entry of PLAY airline is a good sign that the Czech market is still attractive for new carriers who perceive the potential of direct flights to / from Prague. Iceland has long been a popular destination for outbound tourism and the new line may also offer convenient connections to the US with transfer in Keflavík in the future,” Jaroslav Filip, Director of Prague Airport Aviation Business, said.
Next year PLAY will fly to 23 destinations in Europe and in spring 2022 will begin its hub-and-spoke operations to the East Coast of North America, adding three more Airbus A320 aircraft to its fleet.
This will open up the transatlantic part of PLAY´s operations, which means that people in Europe and North America can choose PLAY to travel over the Atlantic ocean.
PLAY is based in Iceland and therefore offers affordable flights to dreamlike destinations in the North. Iceland has much to offer, brand-new lava fields, otherworldly landscapes, glaciers and waterfalls, all accessible from the modern-day capital of Reykjavik.
