An exhibition showcasing the works of Pablo Picasso is taking place in Prague, featuring notable paintings such as The Dove of Peace and The Woman of Avignon.

These artworks have been sourced from private collections and will be accessible to the public at the “Homage to Pablo Picasso” exhibition, scheduled from Thursday, June 15, to Saturday, June 17.

The exhibition will be held at the Novák House passage situated at Vodičkova 30, Prague 1.

In addition to Picasso’s paintings, the exhibition will include artworks by Adolf Hoffmeister, a close friend of Pablo Picasso whom he befriended before the Second World War. One of the displayed pieces from their collaborative repertoire is the portrait titled Prague in May 1973.

“We have designed this intimate exhibition to facilitate a dialogue between these two exceptional artists, whose work continues to inspire and enrich us today.”

The chamber exhibition will be open to the public starting from Thursday, June 15 (with the opening at 6 pm) until Saturday, June 17, 2023.

Currently, the U Nováků house is hosting various exhibitions, including a project that combines the magical poetics of photographer Lubomír Fuxa’s Burrowing, a comprehensive representation of the work of the Liberec association of artists and craftsmen called Argonaunt, and a cross-section of the artwork created by Anna Šíma Kopková, a member of the Liberec association of artists and craftsmen.
