Good news for budget travelers! Ryanair is adding a new direct route from Prague to Venice’s Marco Polo Airport, starting in October.
This marks a welcome return for the airline, which previously served the route but had a hiatus in recent years.
The new route offers a convenient alternative to Ryanair’s existing service to Treviso Airport, which is located further away from Venice itself. While Wizz Air currently offers flights to Marco Polo from Prague, they’re reducing their frequency.
Ryanair will operate five flights per week, from Thursday to Monday. Most departures are scheduled for the morning, similar to Wizz Air.
However, a Sunday evening flight from Venice provides additional flexibility for travelers.
While initial fares may not be the cheapest, with return tickets starting at around 2,600 CZK, Ryanair is known for offering competitive prices, especially as the launch date approaches.
Reaching Venice from Marco Polo Airport is a breeze. Several convenient options are available:
- City Bus Line 15: This budget-friendly option takes you to Mestre, on the mainland, in about 25 minutes for just €10 per ticket.
- ATVO Buses: These buses also cost €10 and offer direct connections to Venice Island.
- Water Buses: For a more scenic journey, hop on a water bus directly from the airport to Venice for €15.
