Where English Meets Creativity: New Film and Acting Courses in Prague

Aeroškola, a Prague-based educational organisation with studios in Prague 3 and Prague 7, is opening two creative courses that bring English into the worlds of animation and acting.
Designed for teenagers and adults, the courses combine practical creative skills with hands-on learning. Participants will use English not only to communicate but also to make films, perform, develop ideas and work with others.
Animation in English for Teenagers
For teenagers aged 10–15, ANIMO – ENGLISH offers an introduction to animation through a practical, project-based course.
Participants work entirely in English under the guidance of a native English-speaking instructor. Over the course, they create their own animated film, from the first idea through production to final post-production.
The programme introduces filmmaking vocabulary while giving students the opportunity to develop their own creative projects. They also learn how to collaborate, share ideas and bring a story to life through animation.
No previous animation experience is required. The course is open to young people who are curious about art, film and creative storytelling.
Acting in English for Adults
Adults interested in performance can join ACTING IN ENGLISH, a ten-lesson course led by professional actor and dialogue coach Joe Weintraub.
The programme explores a range of acting techniques, including character development, improvisation, voice and breath work, camera acting and self-tapes.
Alongside performance training, participants develop their confidence in using English in a creative setting. The course concludes with a short video piece, which can also serve as part of a personal portfolio.
Whether participants are new to acting or looking to develop existing skills, the course offers an opportunity to practise performance in English while working with an experienced professional.
By the end of the courses, students can take away more than new language skills: a finished animated film, a video performance and greater confidence in bringing creative ideas to life.
