Prague Launched Its Own Real Estate Website

Prague City Hall has launched a new website with ads for the rental and sale of real estate owned by the city. There are both residential and commercial properties. Gradually the site www.realitniportalpraha.cz will be replenished with new announcements. Users have already the opportunity to subscribe to an e-mail newsletter. “The real estate portal is a next step in the direction of making operations with urban real estate as transparent as possible. It’s much more convenient to use the new online service than looking for ads on the classic message boards in the City Hall,” said Cultural Council Karel Grabein-Procházka. Taxi Drivers Plan Another Protest

Protests by taxi drivers may not be over. The Association of Czech Taxi Drivers (SČT) is not pleased with the agreement signed between ride-sharing service Uber and the Czech government and is calling for taxi drivers to protest on Friday, May 4, in Čestlice, just south of Prague.  The government, led by Andrej Babiš (ANO), signed the agreement with Uber on April 30. As previously determined, the agreement called for Uber to commit to getting a Czech business license to operate locally, rather than rely on a license from another EU country. Uber drivers will have to meet the conditions for a regular taxi driver, including a license and an exam. The signing of the agreement had been delayed over issues including deadlines.  Read the full article here (Prague.tv) xosotin chelseathông tin chuyển nhượngcâu lạc bộ bóng đá arsenalbóng đá atalantabundesligacầu thủ haalandUEFAevertonfutebol ao vivofutemaxmulticanaisonbetbóng đá world cupbóng đá inter milantin juventusbenzemala ligaclb leicester cityMUman citymessi lionelsalahnapolineymarpsgronaldoserie atottenhamvalenciaAS ROMALeverkusenac milanmbappenapolinewcastleaston villaliverpoolfa cupreal madridpremier leagueAjaxbao bong da247EPLbarcelonabournemouthaff cupasean footballbên lề sân cỏbáo bóng đá mớibóng đá cúp thế giớitin bóng đá ViệtUEFAbáo bóng đá việt namHuyền thoại bóng đágiải ngoại hạng anhSeagametap chi bong da the gioitin bong da lutrận đấu hôm...

Prague Authorities Set To Change the Law on Construction

According to Mayor of Prague Adriana Krnáčová, a working group was established to draft a new law on construction. Experts agree with officials that the existing system of land use, planning and issuing permits for housing construction needs to be reviewed. Krnáčová claims that a long process of obtaining permits is one of the main reasons why currently there are not enough vacant apartments in Prague. A small volume of supply leads to a sharp increase in house prices. Currently, the builder has to get dozens of positive assessments from various institutions and building authorities. Experts called for Prague to have only one building office or at least a common methodology for the existing ones. The current system has 22 building authorities involved in issuing permits. In September 2017, the government approved basic concepts of the law, which was being elaborated by the Ministry of Regional Development. Another goal is to simplify the requirements that the developer must meet. Libeňský Most Likely to be Torn Down

The situation looks grim for Libeňský most (Libeň Bridge). The Prague City Council supports demolishing the bridge down to its support pillars, which would be reused for a new bridge. The demolition must still be confirmed by 65-member Prague Assembly, which will discuss the issue April 26.  The proposal for demolition was agreed to by seven of the 11 members of the City Council. Those from ANO and ČSSD supported the demolition. Members of the Three-Party Coalition (Greens, KDU-ČSL and STAN) opposed it. In the Assembly, the opposition parties TOP 09 and ODS are expected to join ANO and ČSSD in support the demolition. Group of Foreigners Brutally Attacked a Waiter in the Center of Prague

The dispute started when the waiter warned the group men they could not consume their own alcohol.  The attack took place at seven o’clock in the evening on Vladislavova Street, where seven men came and wanted to drink their alcohol. “A group of seven men attacked the staff of the restaurant, one waiter landed on the ground and kicked him with his fists and kicked him in.” According to him, the men then escaped to the tram number 14 in the direction of Karlovo náměstí, and the injured man ended up in the hospital in the intensive care unit in a very serious condition and had to undergo a head surgery. “Therefore, we ask the receptionist and all other witnesses, if they can see or know where they might be, to contact the emergency line 158,” said in a statement the spokesperson of Prague police. Prague Transport Company Modernizing Another 65 Trams

The Prague Transport Company (DPP) is modernizing another 65 T3 trams on partially low-floor wagons, which will then deploy on night lines. Modernization should be estimated at 455 million crowns. It is the second wave of modernization of the legendary T3 trams, produced in the 1960s and 90s of the last century in the ČKD Tatra in Prague. Applying to night-time connections is related to the DPP commitment to introduce barrier-free night transport. At the same time, night traffic is unlikely to have such high bargaining demands as to deny the fact that trams are low-floor only partially. The length of the tram network is 142.4 km in Prague, with about 52 percent of the tracks running along its own tramway. Trams carry over 360 million passengers each year. Trams on Wenceslas Square Back Under Consideration

Trams may return to Wenceslas Square. Three options are under consideration and will be discussed by city planning officials April 25. The public will be allowed to comment for a month after the meeting. The idea was floated a few years ago, but no action has been taken since fall 2016. Now the idea is back on the agenda. The options are for new lines from Vinohradská to Hlavní nádraží and Wenceslas Square.  The new links would help relieved congestion in the center. Prague’s current tram system is too dependent on the section between Lazarská and Jindřišská, according to City Hall. Inhabitants of Žižkov would benefit from better connections to the center.
