The NHL starts its season in Prague on Oct. 4, with the Philadelphia Flyers playing against the Chicago Blackhawks at Prague’s O2 Arena.
First, it was a bit of an on and off for Zach, before he moved from Lake Geneva, WI to Prague in 2007. Eventually, he met his now-wife and settled. Respectful to the country and its heritage, Zach also wanted to introduce a part of his upbringing. As an American Football player, it was sport but not simply just a sport. It was also about teaching values like courage, family, hard work, faithfulness, and gratitude. This is something everyone needs. Like all the bridges of Prague connecting two sides of the city, he wants to bridge two cultures. The Prague Lions were founded back in 1991 and last won the Czech Bowl in 2006. No mountain too high, Zach took on the challenge a few years ago as an assistant coach and last year he took on a bigger challenge as the head coach and a club owner. This year, all the hard work and perseverance paid off and the Prague Lions won the Czech Bowl again. The Prague Lions are a great team to watch play. You can also be a part of it no matter what age or role. If you want to know more about Zach and...

After the exciting group phase and ranking matches, the CEE Cup came to a close today with the much anticipated Final match between last year’s winners, Palmeiras, and the home team of Sparta Prague. The Brazilians sailed through Group B with ease, winning all three games. As for the Czechs, the road to Dolicek was slightly more complicated. At the 50th, Palmeiras broke through when Gabriel Goes let off a shot from outside the box, which was somehow picked up by Fabricio, who scored an easy goal up close. The Brazilians found their second and winning goal at the 85th, and what a fantastic goal at that. Rian Roberto let off a powerful shot from the right-hand side against which Benada was unable to do anything. In the last five minutes, plus in the six added as overtime, things began to get heated once more, with many spats breaking out here and there, but the final whistle brought an end to all that. The 9th edition of the CEE Cup truly was a success for every football lover out there. The level and quality of all the teams involved was simply spectacular, with the cherry on top that was the...
The Prague CEE CUP is about to kick off its 9th edition on July 24th. This time around, a myriad of football scouts will be present at the U19 football. Besides the local Sparta and Slavia players, they will also get to see other interesting talents from abroad. According to the first names reported, it is expected that a number of representatives will be in Dinamo Zagreb, Beşiktaş Istanbul or Shakhtar Donetsk, which are Sparta’s rivals in Group A. For example, the Zagreb team is the home of the offensive midfielder Edin Jularjija, a Croatian youth who is one of the youngest players in the line-up that helped push Dinamo’s promotion to the Youth League quarterfinals. The fast-paced South American footballers should once again amaze the spectators in the matches of Palmeiras, which is one of Slavia’s rivals in Group B, which will be complemented by the English Burnley and Turkish Altinordu. In this group, Brazilian striker Fabricio, who, according to overseas media is threatening Sao Jesolo’s goal record set by Gabriel Jesus (currently a Manchester City player), should be among the most-watched players. We will present a wider list of players, who should not fail to get the attention of...
