Czech Republic Prepares for a Packed Concert Year in 2026
Prague Morning
The Czech Republic is shaping up for another strong concert season in 2026, with international stars, major festivals, and arena shows already confirmed.
From heavy metal icons to singer-songwriters and pop acts, the calendar suggests a year that will keep both Prague and regional venues busy.
One of the most anticipated appearances of the year will take place in Moravia. Marilyn Manson is scheduled to perform at the Masters of Rock festival in Vizovice, held from July 16 to 19, 2026, at the Rudolf Jelínek distillery. The artist will headline the Ronnie James Dio Stage, marking his return to the Czech festival circuit.
Manson, the sole permanent member of his band, has released twelve studio albums to date, most recently One Assassination Under God – Chapter 1 in 2024.
The Rock for People festival in Hradec Králové will also play a central role in the 2026 season. Running from June 10 to 14, the five-day event will feature Iron Maiden as a headliner on the final day. The British band’s appearance adds further weight to a lineup that traditionally mixes established names with newer acts, alongside late-night programming and themed stages.
Another major development is the relocation of Metronome Prague. After a decade at the Výstaviště exhibition grounds, the festival will move to Letňany Airport, where it will take place from June 19 to 21, 2026. Organisers have also announced a new partnership with Live Nation Czech Republic, a move intended to expand the festival’s international reach.
Among the confirmed names are Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Sting, positioning Metronome among the most prominent music events in Central Europe next summer. The festival continues to combine concerts with food zones and cultural programming, aiming to appeal to a broad audience rather than a single genre group.
Beyond the summer festivals, 2026 will offer a steady stream of concerts throughout the year. British band White Lies will play Lucerna Music Bar on February 16, bringing their mix of indie rock and post-punk back to Prague. UB40 are scheduled for March 13 at Forum Karlín, where they will perform material spanning their long career.
Italian singer Eros Ramazzotti will return to the O2 Arena on April 10 as part of his Una Storia Importante world tour. The Prague date will mark his fifth appearance in the city. In April, Paul Simon is also set to visit Prague, presenting his Grammy-nominated album Seven Psalms during three smaller-scale concerts at the Congress Centre.
Eric Clapton will perform in Prague on May 4, continuing a touring career that began decades ago. The guitarist last played in the Czech capital in 2022, and the newly announced tour has followed months of speculation about whether he would return to the stage at the age of 80.
June will bring several notable concerts to Prague venues. Garbage, fronted by Shirley Manson, will appear at Lucerna’s Great Hall on June 9, offering a selection of songs that shaped alternative rock in the 1990s and beyond.
David Byrne, the former Talking Heads frontman, will perform at O2 Universum on June 17, accompanied by the New York-based Ghost Train Orchestra, presenting his latest project Who Is the Sky.
Later in the month, Letňany Airport will host large-scale open-air shows. OneRepublic will perform there on June 27 as part of their From Europe With Love Tour 2026, returning less than a year after a sold-out arena concert in Prague.
Rapper Pitbull is also scheduled to take the Letňany stage on July 26 with his I’m Back tour.
