
The night from Sunday to Monday in the Czech Republic was unusually cool with temperatures ranging around five degrees Celsius, said Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMI) on Monday.
Seven stations reported July 2 as the coldest night of the entire month of July for the country.
The average temperature in the Czech Republic at night dropped to 4.8 degrees Celsius, with no significant differences among the regions. The cold front came from the north to the Czech Republic over the last weekend.
The lowest temperature measured at two meters above ground Sunday night was at Jeleni stations in the Ore Mountains range, wherein the thermometer showed minus 5.7 degrees Celsius.
The lowest temperature in the Czech mainland was measured by meteorologists at Luční bouda station in the Giant Mountains, where was minus 8.1 degrees.
