Smoke on the… Vltava: Deep Purple Bring Their Tour to Prague in 2026
Prague Morning
Deep Purple will bring their long-running world tour to Prague in the autumn of 2026, confirming a concert at the O2 arena on October 7, 2026.
The evening will begin with a performance by Jayler, who will appear as the night’s special guest.
Tickets start at CZK 1,200, with sales handled through Ticketmaster and Ticketportal. Early access for members of the Live Nation Club and O2 customers opens at 11:00 a.m., before general sale begins.
Since forming in 1968, Deep Purple have remained one of rock’s most enduring live acts, performing worldwide and releasing studio albums that continue to reach the top of European charts.
Although the group went through several stylistic phases, their most influential era remains the early 1970s, when the lineup featuring Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Jon Lord and Ritchie Blackmore recorded albums that shaped the sound of hard rock. The live recording “Made in Japan” from this period is widely viewed as a milestone, with musicians across genres citing it as a reference point.
Deep Purple’s current chapter continues with guitarist Simon McBride, who joined after Steve Morse stepped away from the group in 2022 for personal reasons. McBride’s arrival gave the band a fresh dynamic on stage, something audiences have responded to positively during recent tours.
Their latest studio album, =1, released in 2024, became a number-one record in three countries. It is the first full studio project to feature McBride and the fifth the group has made with producer Bob Ezrin.
Touring behind =1 has taken the band to packed arenas, with ticket sales surpassing one million since 2022.
