Illusion Art Museum Prague Unveils New Works by Jonty Hurwitz, Florian Goerlitz, and Andrej Boleslavský

Illusion Art Museum Prague (IAM Prague) hosted a vernissage on Wednesday, June 24, unveiling new works by South African artist Jonty Hurwitz, Berlin-based kinetic artist Florian Goerlitz, and Slovak digital artist Andrej Boleslavský.
The new additions expand the museum’s collection of contemporary illusion, kinetic, and interactive art. Hurwitz presents two mirror anamorphoses, Echo and Rejuvenation in Bronze, inviting viewers to experience how form, reflection, and perspective can transform what we see.
Goerlitz presents Infinity, a kinetic work that brings movement and mechanical precision into the museum’s growing collection of contemporary illusion art.
Boleslavský contributes the digital artwork Liquid Mirror, which explores the relationship between image, movement, and perception through a responsive digital surface, where many moments coexist, sliding against one another.

Since 2018, IAM Prague has become one of the city’s most distinctive interactive art attractions, combining visual illusion, Czech history, playful storytelling, and participatory installations.
The museum recently received the Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award for the fifth consecutive year, reflecting consistently strong visitor feedback. The new works mark another step in the museum’s broader ambition: to operate not only as a visitor attraction, but as an active cultural venue that supports artists, hosts events, and creates new reasons for local and international audiences to return.

“Our museum has always been about wonder and perspective,” said Jakub Bechyně, Partner and Creative Director.
“These new works deepen that mission. They show that illusion art can be technically sophisticated, conceptually rich, and still immediately engaging for the public.”

The evening welcomed nearly 100 guests from across the cultural, media, tourism, and creative sectors. Guests had the opportunity to explore the museum’s permanent illusion installations as well as the newly unveiled works.
Recent additions and upcoming changes are part of the museum’s strategy to keep the exhibition dynamic and strengthen its position among Prague’s cultural and experiential offerings.
