In Nebušice (Prague 6) and also at Manifesto Market, you can find Nebu Restaurant. Its owner Sunil is going a new way and combines world cuisine with his homeland Indian cuisine. We met with Sunil to find out how this was created and spoke ab bit with him what made him come to Prague, the answer was obvious.
“Before Prague, I lived in Bali, about 5 years ago I met my wife Gabi on an island called Lombok, well that’s what brought me to Prague, since then two very gorgeous little boys, Charles and Kian, and the charming city keeps me here,” said Sunil.
“I moved to a house in Nebušice that’s 100 meters from my restaurant, and that’s where the name Nebu comes from. The restaurant was an impulsive decision as I’m a big-time foodie and restaurants are a passion. I was also missing very good Asian and Indian food of high quality and decided to open Nebu,” he adds.
Sunil had several restaurants in the past with three in Marbella, a very high-end beach club in Goa, and has been quite involved with the Fashion industry with his own stores and distribution while living in, Moscow, Toronto, Hong Kong, Marbella, and Goa. So fashion, art, restaurant, and food is his life.
“I also started a new business with very high-end shisha pipes and launched a new concept called “smoking cocktails. These were introduced and partnered with some of the best locations globally, Mykonos, Bali, Maldives, Monte Carlo, Ibiza, Barcelona, with the hotels and clubs like Four Seasons, Ritz Carltons, Six Senses.”
“In Prague, we just launched our new pipe collection at Duplex and of course the new pipe hand made in Germany is called the “Nebu Universe“ with 9000+ followers on Instagram.”
The Nebu Restaurant went on to add and diversify its concept gradually and introduce “Extraordinary Indian Fusion“ like Pizza and Tacos with Indian toppings like Chicken Butter Masala sauce for example.
“We had several clients who loved pizza and curry masala, so we decided to give them both on one plate. It works and tastes fantastic,” says Sunil.
“We then went on and opened at Manifesto Market (Florenc) as they have a cool concept and great energy, it brings great awareness to the product and brand Nebu as well. We are now looking at expanding the Indian Fusion business across Europe. Take away and delivery will play a big part in this new concept.”
Fans of Nebu food have been a great support during these tough times. “We will remain dedicated to offering them a great service and some amazing new recipes. “For food lovers our lamb roganjosh with mozzarella calzone is a must-have,” concludes Sunil.
