New Dog Playground Opens in Central Prague with Agility Course

Prague 1 now has its first public dog playground, giving dog owners in the city center a dedicated space for exercise and training.
The new facility is located on Ludvík Svobody Embankment, next to the Ministry of Transport’s traffic playground and close to Lannov Park. It has been open to the public since September 16.
At the center of the site is an approximately 92-meter-long agility course. It includes a tunnel, slalom poles, an A-frame and several jumping obstacles. The playground is freely accessible and does not require prior booking.
“Space in the center of Prague is very limited, so we want to use every suitable location to serve local residents,” said Kateřina Klasnová, Prague 1’s deputy mayor responsible for the environment.
The playground is currently unfenced, meaning dogs can enter and leave the area freely.
Some dog owners raised concerns about the lack of a fence during the opening, and Prague 1 said it would consider adding one.
An information board at the site explains the operating rules and provides instructions for using the agility equipment. The playground also has a waste bin and two dispensers containing bags for dog owners to clean up after their pets.
Responsibility for the site lies with the Prague 1 Department of the Environment. Visitors can report damaged equipment or other defects directly to the municipal district.
