The exhibition โArt Behind the Lineโ is the first project that shows Prague metro stations as a space open for contemporary art.
The project was launched on May 11 as a cooperation between the Prague Public Transport (DPP) and the Prague City Gallery (GHMP) at four metro stations: Mลฏstek (line A), Florenc, Nรกmฤstรญ Republiky and Karlovo nรกmฤstรญ on line B.
The exhibition runs through December 31, 2020, and showcase 16 works by 8 different artists.
Passengers can enjoy photographic works by Jiลรญ Kovanda, Markรฉta Othovรก, Kriลกtof Kintera, Timo, Lucia Scerankovรก, Ondลej Pลibyl and the artistic duo Lukรกลก Jasanskรฝ โ Martin Polรกk and Hynek Alt โ Aleksandra Vajd.
Guided tours are also being prepared for those interested in both the works and the history and architecture of the metro stations.
