Good food, good mood, and live music – the 13th annual French Market brings the joie de vivre to Prague.
Who wouldn’t enjoy French food and wine on a Prague island overlooking Charles Bridge? The traditional French Market (Francouzský trh) will take place on Kampa from July 14 to 19, daily from 10 am to 10 pm.
Visitors will have the opportunity to taste and purchase cheeses, sausages, pâtés, olives and olive oil, wine, and sweets such as ice cream and French crèpes, and a variety of other items, such as products made from lavender.
As part of the celebrations on the occasion of the fall of the Bastille, visitors can look forward to the traditional delicacies of Le
Marché, Brittany pancakes and wine treasures from Château De Croute.
French wines are the main part of the market and there is plenty of stands with wines from all over the country. This year you can visit the stands of Chateau Šafaříkova, Atelier Red and Wine, Chez Greg, La Cave d’Adrien, and others.
In addition, at the French Market on Kampa you will be able to taste escargots traditionally prepared on beer, parsley, and celery, as well as sweet French galettes.
There will also be lots of French music and artists performing during the festival, so you can easily spend hours in the festival area as you drink, eat, and listen to all sorts of French music.
On July 14 from 5:00 pm, the well-known theater actress and singer Chantal Poullain will entertain the visitors. On Saturday, guests can enjoy the classic music by the French group Polemic Incredible.
For the first time, a special morning program for children is also under preparation.
