During lockdown, while Prague’s bars and restaurants were closed, many of us rediscovered the joys of meeting friends outside in some of the city’s amazing beer gardens.

Hilton Hotel in Florenc has captured this new vibe by opening Prague’s newest beer garden on their redesigned terrace overlooking the Vltava.

With a range of seating areas from benches to bean bags, Hilton have created a space to relax and unwind during the upcoming summer days with the hotel’s usual touch of upmarket style. The aim has been to create an atmosphere where you can hang out with your friends or have casual work meetings while having a couple of cold beers or soft drinks and taking advantage of great food from the grill.

Beer Garden Karlín has five beers on tap including familiar 10- and 11-degree options and more specialized beers like wheat beer. The grill features their signature dark beer marinated ribs as well as simple hot dogs, a special beef burger with a homemade bun, and more.

The grill menu has been designed to provide casual eating to go alongside your cold drinks. The beer garden also supplies a range of other drinks and cocktails, including summer classics like Gin and Tonic, wine, and home-made lemonade.

Is it expensive? Here’s some more good news. While keeping the quality levels high, they’re also offering great prices on both food and drink. You can get a small beer for 25 CZK, and a half-liter of 11-degree Staropramen will cost you 40 CZK.

Even better news: there is a three-hour‘ beer happy hour’ from 15:00-18:00 where you can buy three beers for the price of two. So that’s 80 Crowns for 3 beers in a relaxing garden, with chilled music by the river.

If you’re cycling or skating nearby, Beer Garden Karlín makes a great exercise pit stop. The garden is also dog and child friendly.

Hilton have also set up a large LED screen in one section of the garden so, for sports lovers there will be regular football and other sporting events to come.
