Accessing healthcare as a foreigner in Prague can often be a complex process, marked with long wait times and language barriers.
Fortunately, there’s a refreshing alternative in the healthcare landscape for expat communities – Medica Mente Clinic.
This clinic is dedicated to providing a welcoming environment for its clients by offering specialized services and multilingual support. We had the chance to discuss with a clinic representative the range of services and advantages available to the expats community.
Q: Could you provide an overview of the clinic’s concept?
Certainly. Medica Mente Clinic is located near the Andel metro station, offering a comprehensive range of specialized medical services. Our team comprises skilled practitioners, including general practitioners, endocrinologists, urologists, orthopedists, and experts in ultrasound diagnostics, among others.
Importantly, we have a team of English-speaking doctors, which greatly eases communication for our international clientele. We go the extra mile by extending our operating hours, from 9 am to 8 pm on weekdays, and we’re open for business on weekends as well. At the heart of our concept is a commitment to being a foreigner-friendly clinic, dedicated to providing tailored services and support for expatriates.
It’s important to note that we are a private medical institution and collaborate with commercial insurance providers such as PVZP, MAXIMA, Uniqa, Slavia, AXA, and others specializing in services for foreigners. Unfortunately, we don’t participate in government insurance programs. However, we do welcome patients with government insurance for a fee.
Q: What’s the process for someone to become a client at your clinic, and is it a straightforward procedure?
Becoming a client at Medica Mente Clinic is designed to be a straightforward and hassle-free experience. Prospective clients can simply contact our central phone number to request an examination, and we will promptly schedule an appointment for them. You can also schedule an appointment through our free mobile app Medica Mente.
For those fortunate enough to be insured by one of our partner companies, including PVZP, Makima ОПЕЧАТКА Maxima, AXA, or others, the examination will be entirely cost-free. However, for clients without such insurance coverage, the examination fee is payable directly at the clinic.
Q: How accessible is the clinic, and what makes it easy for clients to locate?
Our clinic boasts exceptional accessibility. We are conveniently located near the Andel metro station, right in the heart of the city. A brisk four-minute walk is all it takes to reach our clinic.
Furthermore, we offer the convenience of both phone and online consultations with our doctors. This innovative approach allows clients to receive medical guidance and even obtain prescriptions from the comfort of their own homes, without the need for a physical visit.
This is especially useful for common ailments like viral infections. In essence, our doctors are readily available to assist clients through various channels.
