Whether it’s pounding the pavement to see the top Prague attractions or the daily hassle of getting through the day unscathed, you deserve a little pick-me-up. And what better way to alleviate stress than by squeezing it out of you in sweat form?
From cozy nooks to more luxurious outdoor sauna in the city, saunas in Prague are available in abundance.
Overlooking the Vltava river, visitors can find the picturesque private wellness sauna, perfect for visiting with friends. Sauna Smichov offers a unique experience to its visitors by giving them the opportunity to privately hire out the sauna for up to six friends. In addition to using the sauna, visitors will also have access to the refreshing whirlpool and will be able to a glass of Moët at the onsite bar – whilst having a panoramic view of the Vltava river.
Sauna Vltava
Over a hundred rooms in several types of saunas, massages of all kinds, yoga classes and excellent gastronomy can be found at Dvorce in Podolí. A full-day entry costs 320 CZK, for a two-hour entry you pay 280 CZK. It is open from Monday to Sunday from 12.00 to 23.00.
Sauna Central
In the very heart of Prague, you can relax in several saunas (herbal sauna, Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, ceremonial sauna), steam room, common whirlpool or relaxation room. There is also a private wellness area. You can take advantage of cheaper entry during happy hours on weekdays from 13.00 to 15.00. For 90 minutes you will pay 295 CZK, for two hours you will pay 375 CZK. It is open from 13:00 to 22:30.
Sauna Spot – Dvorce
It can be found on Podolské nábřeží on the banks of the Vltava River next to Žluté lázně. It is open every day from 11.00 to 23.00. An hour and a half stay here will cost you CZK 285, two hours CZK 320. You can enjoy four Finnish saunas with different temperature and humidity, 2 cooling pools and 3 indoor and 2 outdoor relaxation zones.
Sauna in the National Theatre
On the roof of the New Stage of the National Theatre you will find a private sauna club. Entry is only possible with a membership card. The price for membership, including 10 entries, is CZK 3,000, but you can arrange one trial visit. It is open daily from 15:00 to 22:00. The interior of the sauna matches the Brutalist style of the building.
Sauna Aquapalace Prague
This heat-lovers’ paradise in Čestlice offers a total of 18 different rooms. The space is divided into three parts – classic Finnish saunas, Roman baths and an outdoor area. Opening hours are weekdays from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., weekends from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and afternoon sauna sessions (from 3 p.m. until closing time) cost 1049 CZK. A full day in the sauna world will cost you 1099 CZK, and three hours of sauna time will cost 999 CZK.
Located in the city centre, the Beer Spa saunas offer private rooms to relax in. As well as working up a sweat, you can also relax in the beer whirlpool baths. Sauna with seating for two will cost you 700 CZK, sauna with whirlpool 1200 CZK, for a beer bath with unlimited beer consumption you will pay 2000 CZK.
Saunia has six branches in Prague (Butovice, Hostivař, Černý Most, Chodov, Krakov, Harfa). Saunas are open from 9.00 to 23.00 every day. You pay 359 CZK for unlimited entry if you leave before 5 pm on weekdays. If you leave later and on weekends, the unlimited entry will cost you 469 CZK.
This sauna offers a luxurious environment, various types of massages, relaxation in a private jacuzzi or private sauna. Two hours of wellness will cost you 315 CZK, three hours will cost 380 CZK. It is open every day from 10.00 to 22.30.
Infinit has several branches in Prague (Infinit Step, Infinit Holešovice, Infinit Na zámku). Each branch offers something a little different, so we recommend visiting their websites. Infinit Step, for example, allows you to combine a visit to the sauna with sports (swimming pool, courts).
