Tomorrow Czechs Will Sing Together as Radio Stations Unite to Broadcast “Není Nutno”

On Wednesday, March 25, at 12.30 pm, after the introductory speech by Zdeněk Svěrák, the song Není Nutno will be broadcasted on CT1, Český rozhlas and on municipal and local radio stations. All the people can join. The song will be played by Zdeněk Svěrák and Jaroslav Uhlíř.

The intention is to give courage and strength and also to express support to all people in the front line fighting against the coronavirus pandemic: doctors, nurses, pharmacists, drivers, firemen, and others.

“We would like to shake a wave of one big collective energy when at one moment a million people will have to sing a song. For joy, for encouragement, and for those out there who care. As the virus spreads, so does the sadness. We would like to inject into this vein a vaccine that will create a sense of belonging,” says Ondřej Kobza from Piána na ulici, which organizes the event.

He called on citizens to watch TV or radio, open a window, sit down to the piano, play the guitar, trumpet, violin, and after the countdown, they started to play and sing the song Není Nutno.
