Smartwings Resumes Flights to St. Petersburg

The Czech air carrier Smartwings resumes its flights between Prague and St. Petersburg from 29 April 2021.

The scheduled service to/from St. Petersburg will be operated twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays. The operation to the second largest city of Russia was suspended last spring due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

The flights are already opened for sales and tickets can be purchased on the website of both Smartwings and Czech Airlines (under the existing code-share cooperation) as well as by travel agents worldwide.

During the upcoming Summer season, Smartwings Group, which includes both Smartwings and Czech Airlines, offers flights from airports in the Czech Republic to 74 destinations in Greece, Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Croatia, Israel, Egypt, Turkey, Tunisia, UAE, Cabo Verde, Holland, Sweden, Denmark, Russia, Malta, Ukraine and Iceland.

Smartwings is planning to operate flights not only from Czech airports but also from its hubs in Poland, France, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Canary Islands during the summer season.

Smartwings and Czech Airlines offer to their clients with new as well as existing tickets the possibility of free rebooking until 30 June 2021 whereas the new travel date shall be not later than 30 June 2022.

When purchasing tickets on Smartwings and Czech Airlines websites, customers can also purchase simultaneously travel insurance which covers the expenses related to the COVID-19 disease.

Smartwings operates currently scheduled flights from Prague to Malaga in Spain, to Mallorca and three destinations in the Canarian Islands (Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura), Funchal (Madeira), Hurghada and Marsa Alam (Egypt) as well as charter flights to Ras Al Khaimah (UAE).

Czech Airlines operates scheduled flights to Paris (up to daily), Stockholm (3 tímes a week), Kyiv (daily) and Moscow (3 times a week).
