Prague Zoo Takes a Closer Look at Poop

PRAGUE (AP): After producing plenty of elephant dung and other manure for years, Prague Zoo has capitalized on its expertise by creating a new permanent exhibit on the world of animal excrement. It displays information and samples of everything from fossil turds, also known as coprolites, from extinct animals to the excrement of modern-day gorillas, lions, elephants, horses, turtles, wombats, camels, and other animals, all in various sizes, shapes, textures, and colors. Zoo director Miroslav Bobek, whose surname literally means “poop” in Czech, says he was inspired by American George Frandsen and his online museum. The exhibition coincides with the zoo’s publication of a new edition of the “Encyclopedia of Excrements.” The zoo has been selling elephant dung to gardeners as fertilizer for years. xosotin chelseathông tin chuyển nhượngcâu lạc bộ bóng đá arsenalbóng đá atalantabundesligacầu thủ haalandUEFAevertonfutebol ao vivofutemaxmulticanaisonbetbóng đá world cupbóng đá inter milantin juventusbenzemala ligaclb leicester cityMUman citymessi lionelsalahnapolineymarpsgronaldoserie atottenhamvalenciaAS ROMALeverkusenac milanmbappenapolinewcastleaston villaliverpoolfa cupreal madridpremier leagueAjaxbao bong da247EPLbarcelonabournemouthaff cupasean footballbên lề sân cỏbáo bóng đá mớibóng đá cúp thế giớitin bóng đá ViệtUEFAbáo bóng đá việt namHuyền thoại bóng đágiải ngoại hạng anhSeagametap chi bong da the gioitin bong da lutrận đấu hôm nayviệt nam bóng đátin...

Happening Today: Music Fills Metro Stations in Prague

Today, Wednesday 24th April from 9 am to 10.00 pm, some amazing live performances are taking place across the Prague metro entrance halls at Můstek (A), Florenc (C), Hradčanská, Náměstí Republiky and Hlavní nádraží. “Live music performances in metro stations are arranged annually by the Prague Public Transit Company (PPTC) and have always won very positive reactions from the passengers. Live music within the Prague metro is just a pleasant addition to their daily travel. On top of it, the artists have an opportunity to meet their potential fans and audience. We would like to keep this tradition going in future,” commented Jaroslav Ďuriš, the general director of PPTC.  Passengers can listen various music genres, from old blues and soul rhythms to rock and funk beats, modern jazz and drum & bass.  More information here  Author: red xosotin chelseathông tin chuyển nhượngcâu lạc bộ bóng đá arsenalbóng đá atalantabundesligacầu thủ haalandUEFAevertonfutebol ao vivofutemaxmulticanaisonbetbóng đá world cupbóng đá inter milantin juventusbenzemala ligaclb leicester cityMUman citymessi lionelsalahnapolineymarpsgronaldoserie atottenhamvalenciaAS ROMALeverkusenac milanmbappenapolinewcastleaston villaliverpoolfa cupreal madridpremier leagueAjaxbao bong da247EPLbarcelonabournemouthaff cupasean footballbên lề sân cỏbáo bóng đá mớibóng đá cúp thế giớitin bóng đá ViệtUEFAbáo bóng đá việt namHuyền thoại bóng đágiải ngoại hạng anhSeagametap chi bong da...

Fires (Temporarily) Banned in Prague

A ban on fires including smoking in Prague at places with a high fire risk is now in effect due to dry conditions. It will be in place until the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ) changes the declared risk level. Prohibited activities include: making or keeping open fires; smoking (with the exception of electronic cigarettes); using pyrotechnic articles (fireworks); using flying lanterns, other lanterns or torches; throwing burning or smoldering objects; using water from a firefighting source for purposes other than extinguishing fires Czech firefighters said the most frequent causes of fires they had to put out were human neglect, technical defects of vehicles and machines. Cigarette stubs and campfires cause fires of grass and forests. Petřín Tower to Light Up in French Flag Colours After Notre Dame Fire

Following the terrible Notre Dame’s fire in Paris, Prague’s Petřín Tower – which was modeled after, and strongly resembles, the Eiffel Tower – will lit up in blue, white, and red in a show of solidarity. Yesterday, a major fire has engulfed the medieval cathedral, one of France’s most famous landmarks. The 850-year-old Gothic building’s spire and roof have collapsed but the main structure, including the two bell towers, has been saved. The cause of the fire is not yet clear. The special lighting was not a first-time event. On public holidays and other important dates, the tower has also been lit up in red, white, and blue after the Czech Republic flag. During the past two years, the tower has been lit in green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, which will occur again on March 17, 2016. However, not everyone agrees with the lighting. The Prague Conservation Reserve issued a statement asserting that the illumination should only be granted for national holidays and “extraordinarily” important days. Gallery Exhibition of “Real Naked People” is Now Open in Prague

What do you think about nudity? Are you offended by women who display their naked bodies, or do you perceive nudity as a natural part of life? And what do you think about an exhibition of naked women? Following the first exhibition in Spring 2017, VOAYER organizers have opened a permanent space, where gallery goers can see, touch and photograph real-life nudes on a daily basis. The faces of the naked models at the exhibition are often covered with masks. Some of them wear leather dog-collars. “Nudity is today more common in the online world than in reality,” the official site states. “That’s why VOAYER’s sole and essential goal is to provide an exciting real-life experience.” Visitors to the show must follow strict rules. They are allowed to take pictures, but must not use video-cameras. VOAYER Gallery opened on the fourth floor of Dum Mody on Wenceslas Square last week. Closed on Mondays, it is open daily from 11:30-21:30.
