Czech Man Gets Metal Ring Stuck on Penis, Rescued by Firefighters

On Thursday, December 30, a man in České Budějovice was taken to hospital to have a sex toy removed with boltcutters after it got stuck on his penis.

Doctors could not remove the device with orthopedic instruments and they had to call firefighters to the emergency room where he was being attended to.

“The ring, about 5 cm in diameter and about 2 cm wide, was cut by firefighters in two places with boltcutters. The nurse provided cooling with saline. The work of the firefighters was absolutely precise, there was no slightest injury,” said the firefighter’s spokesperson in a press release.

The doctors said their patient almost developed “penile strangulation,” a rare condition that requires urgent treatment if he must not lose total use of his manhood.

The ring is a sex toy worn around the base of the penis, with the sole purpose of improving erections.
