Health minister pushing for flu vaccinations in pharmacies
Health Minister Adam Vojtěch (ANO) wants to enable people to get flu shots at pharmacies. Vaccinologists, doctors, oncologists and obesity specialists say pharmacy staff would first need proper training, after which vaccinations could begin immediately.

Five percent jobless rate recorded in Czechia last month
Unemployment in Czechia stood at 5 percent in August, the same as the previous month, according to data released on Tuesday by the national labour authority. Almost 375,000 people were out of work at the end of last month, while there were just under 100,000 vacancies.

Tram disruptions in central Prague due to track repairs
Tram services have been suspended across part of central Prague as the city's public transport operator (DPP) carries out track repairs in Spálená and Národní streets and on Vítězná Street near Újezd. The disruption affects the section between the Újezd and Lazarská stops. No replacement bus service has been introduced. The works are scheduled to continue until Monday, August 10.
