Czech government ends fuel price caps
The Czech government has decided not to extend fuel price regulation, ending a measure that has capped petrol and diesel prices since April. The price ceilings will expire on Sunday, with fuel prices returning to market-based pricing from Monday. Finance Minister Alena Schillerová (ANO) said the extraordinary market conditions that prompted the measure had passed.

Meteorologists issue severe thunderstorm warning
The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ) has issued a level-two warning for very severe thunderstorms expected to affect the entire country on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Forecasters say the storms could bring torrential rain of around 50 millimetres, hail up to 2 centimetres in diameter and wind gusts of up to 90 km/h.
