Fuel prices in Czechia hit three-and-a-half-year high

Fuel prices in the Czech Republic have reached their highest level in about three and a half years in reaction to the war in the Middle East, which began on February 28. The average price of the most widely used petrol, Natural 95, rose by 2.40 crowns over the past week to 41.44 crowns per litre. Diesel increased by 4.75 crowns to an average of 47.90 crowns per litre.

Prague Castle opens exhibition combining St Vitus Cathedral treasure and contemporary art

An exhibition titled Fragments of Memory: The Treasury of St. Vitus Cathedral in the Mirror of Contemporary Art opened on Thursday at the Riding Hall of Prague Castle. The show presents the St Vitus Cathedral treasure alongside works of contemporary art and follows a presentation of the collection in Dresden two years ago. The exhibition runs until July 26.
