Czech football club Karviná expelled over match-fixing
The Ethics Committee of the Football Association of the Czech Republic (FAČR) has expelled MFK Karviná from Czech football after finding the club responsible for influencing the outcome of three top-flight league matches. Karviná mayor and MFK representative Jan Wolf received a 12-year ban from all football-related activities for his role in influencing the three matches.

Macinka would like to complete embassy move to Jerusalem
Czech Foreign Minister Petr Macinka (Motorists) said he would like to complete the relocation of the Czech embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem by the end of his term in office. He told journalists this after a meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar at Prague’s Černín Palace.

Survey: Czechs fear labour shortage but don’t want foreign workers
Three-quarters of Czechs view the country's labour shortage as a serious problem and 60 percent expect the situation to get worse over the next 10 to 15 years, suggests a survey conducted by the STEM/MARK agency for recruitment company Orienta Czech. However, only 19 percent of respondents support the active recruitment of non-nationals and one in three would prefer to resolve the situation without the hiring of foreigners.
