Inflation accelerates, analysts also warn about rising housing costs

Consumer prices rose by 1.9% year-on-year in March. The annual inflation rate accelerated from 1.4% in February. Fuel prices increased the most. This follows from data released by the Czech Statistical Office (CZSO), which today confirmed its preliminary estimate. Compared to the previous month, consumer prices rose by 0.6%.

For internet users, the highest risk comes from scammers posing as bank employees or police officers. Since the beginning of the year, they have caused damage amounting to 322 million CZK. The most frequent victims are women, with an average age of 46.
