Adaptation of Czech novel on HBO

A two-part television film, Gerta Schnirch, based on the award-winning novel The Expulsion of Gerta Schnirch by Kateřina Tučková, premiered on HBO Max on Wednesday and will be available on HBO from February 8. The mini-series is an international co-production between Czech Television, Negativ, HBO and Arte, directed by Tomáš Mašín.

Hepatitis A outbreak in Prague stabilises.

The hepatitis A outbreak in Prague has stabilised and the number of new cases is declining, the head of the Prague hygiene office Martina Marešová, said on Thursday, adding that the situation could return to normal during the summer months. Last week, the number of newly reported cases fell below 20 for the first time since April last year.
