Groovy Market Fest Returns to Riegrovy Sady on October 3
Prague Morning
Prague’s Groovy Market Fest will return to Riegrovy Sady on Saturday, October 3, bringing together food, independent brands, design and live music for its third edition.
The one-day event will take place at Energy Pub from noon until 10 p.m.
Following two editions held during the summer, the organizers are extending the concept into the autumn, with visitors able to browse local products, eat street food and listen to live music and DJs throughout the day.
The market is organised around three main areas. The Food Garden will focus on gastronomy and street food from local businesses, while Palm Street will feature bakeries, artisanal products and other local goods. The Design Zone will bring together fashion, design and products from independent Czech brands.
Live performances and DJ sets will run from the afternoon into the evening, providing the musical programme alongside the market stalls.
Marek Novák, founder of Groovy Market Fest, said the first two editions helped the team establish the format and identify what visitors respond to.
“After two editions, we know exactly what works at Groovy Market Fest: high-quality local brands, good food, and an atmosphere that keeps people coming back,” Novák said. “This third edition is an opportunity for us to show that Groovy isn’t just a summer event, but a festival that holds a firm place in Prague all year round.”
Visitors can buy tickets for either of the two five-hour sessions. The first runs from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., followed by a second session from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
A ticket for one session costs 100 CZK, while an all-day ticket covering both sessions is available for 190 CZK. Tickets are sold through GoOut.

From Barcelona street food to a Prague market
Groovy Market Fest was founded by Marek Novák and Veronika Kracíková, a couple with experience in Prague’s food scene and Barcelona’s street-food sector.
One of their main inspirations was Barcelona’s Palo Alto Market, an urban market known for combining food, design, music and independent creative businesses.
