There is a new restaurant in the heart of Prague – Habibi Prague Restaurant and Shisha Lounge.
Located in Na Příkopě 23 in the Old Town, inside the shopping gallery Pánská Pasáž, this restaurant serves Arabic and oriental dishes.
Under the supervision of a chef with over 30 years of experience in multiple Arabic and European restaurants, Habibi offers food that is 100% Halal – in accordance with Islamic religious beliefs and Islamic laws.
Their menu consists of fresh salads, grilled meat, fish, soups, hummus, and more.
Concretely, their dishes include lamb chops, lamb tikka, Habibi kebab, chicken tikka, hummus with lamb shawarma (thinly-sliced meat), hummus with pine nuts, shakshuka (eggs poached in tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, and peppers), etc.
They also serve snacks, including popcorn and nachos. Additionally, they have vegetarian options and serve different daily offers, based on availability each day.
All of the food served in the restaurant is homemade. In addition to savory meals, the restaurant serves oriental sweets, such as baklava (pastry filled with nuts and layered with honey), qatayef (a sweet dumpling filled with cream or nuts), and kunefe (a dessert made of thin pastry, syrup, and typically layered with cheese).
While the restaurant does not serve alcoholic beverages, they have non-alcoholic cocktails; tea, including traditional black and green kinds served in oriental kettles; coffee, including real Arabic from a cezve coffee pot; and milkshakes. Moreover, guests can enjoy their Shisha lounge, as well as sports channels broadcasted live on their two TV screens.
Indeed, Habibi is a place of modernity – an Arabic oasis that welcomes all.
It is a multi-lingual spot open to all nationalities. Their employees speak Arabic, Czech, English, German, French, and Ukrainian. As such, it is a place of diversity unified through Arabic cuisine.
The restaurant is open daily. Their opening hours are from 11 am to 2 am. Habibi has its doors open even on public holidays.
The restaurant also offers catering services and hosts bigger groups of people, as well as events. You can find more about them on their website, as well as their Instagram
